A very dense, medium-growing evergreen with deep green, soft foliage and a strong pyramidal shape. Highly cold-hardy, making it one of the best choices for a solid windbreak or privacy screen. Tolerates a wide range, including high pH and clay soils with ample moisture. Does not perform well in sandy or dry soil.
